A Quantifier in English indicates the quantity of the noun it precedes. While most commonly found before a noun it is possible to use a quantifier with out a noun if it is obvious what is being referred to.
Quantifiers give information about the number of things. They can be used with countable nouns, uncountable nouns, and group nouns. Quantifiers can be used in affirmations, questions, and negations. Some have meanings related to size. They also come in different types, which depend on the type of noun in the sentence.

How to Teach Quantifiers
Using quantifiers in English is a skill that you may want to start teaching your students at a young age, For instance, you may want to start teaching your students how to answer questions like “How many apples?”. Likewise, you may want to teach them how to describe their preferences between items, and which items are more of less. Even if this is not explicit teaching it is practicing quantifiers read for when formal instruction happens.
