Online Phonics games for Kindergarten can include spelling, reading, listening and even writing games, these can be online and offline, free and paid, and quick and in depth, group and individual games. These phonics games will include single sounds and simple word blending which are suitable for kindergarten levels.
There is more to teaching in Hong Kong that a positive attitude and a winning smile. Though they will help. There are learning centres, public and private schools, colleges, tutors and universities. How to help students gain as much as they can from reading lessons.
A friend of mine just showed me this and its really cool and might help keep the children entertained at home during this time! I use AR in my lessons sometimes ( and VR) so i know how excited my students get when they see it.
The resources are increasing on the site by quite a rate now and they take a serious amount of time to put together. I am of course still offering them for free in both the teaching resources section and in the new store. At the moment, it being February 9th 2020, I am stuck at home here in Hong Kong. I am a teacher here and have been for a long time. They have closed the schools till at least March the 2nd, and though I am sure my students as well as me did a little WHOOP noise when we heard that fast forward a week with most of Hong Kong closed and it is actually pretty boring.
This is a tricky one, of all the phonics rules the ones surrounding the letter and sounds of ”y” are difficult to find out. Especially after our students have gone through learning The names of the letters and then the sounds they can make, and maybe even that some of those letters have more than one sound, and then we show them ”y”
Work gets in the way so it is just a quick update today, I put onto Facebook an Animal Domino’s activity and it took off! 10000 people downloaded it in just one day, so that gave me a big smile all day. I hope it was useful for you if you downloaded it.
emember seeing this on an old ( very old) English TV show called Why Don’t You, when i was a kid and running off to my mum sewing kit to try to take her needles. I tried to explain it to her that if ever we were lost i was learning how to save us. Luckily she let me go.
