This lesson/worksheet came from a reading book called float and sink and I have created this activity to add value to the book. It requires a little preparation and it does stand alone as a lesson on its own.

It is a good procedural text as well. it is fully adaptable so you can use it as you wish and full teachers notes are available. they discuss how to demonstrate density (i use thickness for low level English speakers) and this leads on to understanding of a lot of other concepts including weight and it is another lesson they can take home to expand learning outside the classroom.

There is a three page work sheet and information and a matching exercise with vocabulary. All aspects are fully editable.
