A set of lovely pictures and letters to help young learners with learning both the names and the sounds of English. There are a few versions, but all use the base image which has cute pictures all beginning with that sound or letter around it.
I have made them to fit on A5 ( so two per piece of A4 paper) if you need different sizes i will make a few different sets and these could be used as cards or even as posters on your classroom or home walls.
Check out the other versions which are designed as worksheets and students have to think of any words they can that start with that letter ( although you could also do the phonetic sounds as well) these are both available as free and as editable if you need. I hope they are helpful to you and feel free to check out the other teaching resources we are adding daily to the site. If you need to be informed then just sign up on the form below.
Most of resources can be premium downloaded below, they are all editable so you can adapt them for your, classes, students and schools. It also helps me with the costs of running the website!

I have put these together in one download, rather than clutter the site with individual pages of them, included here are worksheets with both a word bank and without so you can target stronger and weaker students as you need to.

Prepositions are always a favourite subject of mine to teach, there are so many activities to do both interactive and written. I have been using for a while a set of worksheets that were starting to look more than a little dated. They were still very good, but they needed to be dragged into the 21st century so I decided to remake them.
I usually use them after introducing the song above, its not mine as i can’t sing! I love to sing, unfortunately i have the voice of a hippo so most people ask me to stop !
I also do activities where i ask the students to read a sentence and then come and do the action. So for example “”put the pencil on the chair, put the hat under the desk” so they have some movement in the lesson as well, and then as desk work and consolidation I have made these worksheets as well.
In this set there are 7 different worksheets. There are 3 worksheets that just require the students to write a single word under the picture ( the pictures are cats, chicks and raccoons) and 3 worksheets that require students to write in full sentences. I have done this so you can give the same ”looking” worksheet to your students but if you want or need to differentiate you have the option. I have included a preposition word bank at the bottom of the worksheet to help if needed.
The 7th worksheet is a draw their own task, They have to read the sentence and then draw the picture in the empty box, this is to motivate the more artistic in the class, and, to add elements of reading and speaking rather than just writing as well. I actually like doing this one with my class the most.

I have 16 unique cards for both the diphthong vowel sounds and the magic E words, so you can do one or the other or even both!
This is the fully editable version, so it can be printed and is ready to go, or if you need to change it or add to it you are free to do that as well :)
Bingo is always a win in any classroom, something about it appeals to both the old and young, though it seems not those in between!!
These are easily printable , and make sure you print a smaller version for yourself to be able to keep track of which words you have said. ( you can also direct the game that way as well!!)

Then they have to try to say the Tongue twister to me and to the rest of the class. As a little work book it can be used to practice one a week or one a month. You can also video them saying them and send to parents if you use apps like Seesaw or Padlet.

These are great little activities that allow students to take home a little game to play with parents. brothers, sisters and pets! (well maybe not pets!)
It is the classic finger fortune teller with an English Phonics twist. Students have to make it, or you can use one of the five templates provided. They have to follow instructions on a procedural text or from you as you show them, and once completed they can play the simple phonics game. I have the instructions on the page as well.
But simply they have to put their Index fingers and thumbs into the back of the game,
and move them to open and close the game. There are colours, numbers and tasks inside.

This version means you can change it anyway you want for you students, class and schools :)
