Diphthong and Vowel Spelling Worksheets Editable

Description

A set of three diphthong worksheets all focused on trying to help students learn the different spelling of these vowels sounds. They can be tricky to learn so hopefully this helps you and your students.

These worksheets cover the diphthongs or the sounds oy and oi. or, aw, au and ore, and the sounds for er/er/ur. Two of them are R controlled vowels and the other is a regular diphthongs.

As with most things in English there are some that could have multiple spellings so that can be left to your own discretion on how you address this.

Teaching these skill is the a further step from single sound recognition and word construction These will help students develop skills in blending and recognising sounds to make new words.
